Stop re-screening the same bottom panel
Kick Plate Installation for Screen Enclosures & Doors
Some screen panels are just in the line of fire: the bottom of every door, the wall panels behind the grill, the stretch where the dog patrols. Rescreening them every season is a subscription you never signed up for.

What This Covers
Kick plates end it. A solid aluminum sheet, color-matched to your frame, replaces the vulnerable lower section of the panel — immune to paws, chair legs, soccer balls, and string trimmers. They sharpen the look of the enclosure too, giving it a finished, architectural line.
What’s in the Job
The classic install — the lower quarter of every screen door plated so foot traffic stops eating mesh.
Full runs of bottom-row plating along dog paths, seating areas, and grill zones.
Bronze or white sheet matched to your existing frame so it reads as designed-in, not bolted-on.
Plates take the hits from lawn crews and blown mulch that shred bottom panels.
Solid lower panels add a measure of screening from neighboring yards and walkways.
Installed on existing enclosures of any age — no need to wait for a rescreen (though pairing them is cheapest).
Signs It’s Time
Kick plates pay for themselves quickly if any of these sound familiar:
- You have rescreened the same lower panel more than once
- A dog or cat treats the bottom screen as a door
- Lawn-care visits regularly leave nicks in bottom mesh
- Chair and table legs keep punching through at floor level
- You would like a cleaner, more finished look at the base of the cage
Pricing, Straight Up
Door kick plates typically start around $85 installed; lower-wall runs are quoted by the linear foot. Bundled with a rescreen or door service, plates are discounted since we are already on site.
5-Year Craftsman Warranty
Every kick plates job is backed by our written 5-year warranty on workmanship — if our work fails, we fix it free. Paired with the best price guarantee, there is no cheaper way to do it right.
Our Process
-
Measure & match
We measure the target panels and match plate color to your frame finish.
-
Fabricate
Plates cut to size with clean edges — every opening in a cage is slightly different, and stock sizes show it.
-
Install with stainless fasteners
Plates mounted with stainless hardware and sealed edges; surrounding mesh re-tensioned as needed.
-
Final look
Straight lines, matched color, no raw edges. Most installs are done in a couple of hours.
Kick Plates Questions
Will kick plates block the breeze on my patio?
Barely — plates cover only the bottom 12–24 inches of chosen panels, well below seated head height. Airflow through the rest of the enclosure is unchanged.
Can kick plates be added to an older enclosure?
Yes, they retrofit onto virtually any aluminum cage regardless of age. If the lower frame has corrosion we will flag it first, since plates should anchor into sound metal.
Do kick plates come in colors other than white?
Bronze and white cover nearly every South Florida enclosure, and we match yours. Other finishes can be ordered when needed.
